Disorder in Avondale

At about 11:55pm last night the police were called to an incident in Wolverton Street, Blockhouse Bay. The incident was a continuation of a previous altercation between two groups that had occurred at about 5:00 pm last night. One of the group from the previous incident had returned armed with a hammer, baseball bat and what as been described as a long barreled firearm. The offenders had left the scene before police arrived, no injuries were reported. Enquiries are continuing, no further information is available.
