Farm Accident in Canterbury District, 3:00pm

At about 10.20am on Friday 16 January 2009 a farm accident occurred on a property in the Mayfield area.

Two persons are deceased as a result of farm machinery hitting power lines on the farm.

At this stage OSH are investigating and has been reported to the Coroner.

The family request privacy.

The deceased's names will not be released at this stage as next of kin are still to be informed.
