Arson in Counties Manukau District, 9:05am

Police investigating the suspicious death of a women in a Pukekohe house fire in the early hours of this morning have arrested a 16 year old girl.

She is expected to appear in the Pukekohe Youth Court today charged with arson.

The fire is understood to have happened at around 0100hrs and the deceased is believed to have been a resident of the house.

Detective Inspector Mark Gutry will be available for on camera commentary at Pukekohe Police Station, 37 Manukau Road at 1100hrs today.
