Train v car in Counties Manukau District, 4:40pm 20 Jan 2009

A train has collided with a car in Paerata, South Auckland. One person is reported to have critical injuries, 2 persons serious injuries and 2 persons with moderate injuries. Among the injured are children. Crown Road has been blocked to traffic but State Highway 22 is open.
