Sexual Attack in Canterbury District, 2:00pm

Shortly after midnight, the morning of Saturday 24 January 2009, a 20 year old Asian female was the subject of a sexually motivated assault beside the New Brighton Pier.

The woman was attacked by a man who is described as Caucasian, aged in his late teens or early twenties, wearing a dark coloured hooded top.

He was carrying a light coloured back pack and wearing running shoes.

Another woman heard the victim cry out and disturbed the offender. He was last seen running from the scene towards Marine Parade.
