Firearms incident in North Shore

North Shore Police were called to a report of a firearm being presented at a security guard shortly after 6a.m. this morning in Northcote.
Police inquiries subsequently resulted in the a vehicle being located, and two addresses being searched with the assistance of the Auckland Armed Offenders Squad.
Three persons have been returned to the North Shore Policing Centre for interview. Cordons established in the Northcote vicinity have now been stood down.
No shots or injuries are reported to have occurred during the incident. Inquiries are continuing.
