robbery in Auckland City District, 7:00pm

Police are currently investigating the robbery of woman in the Trident Tavern Car Park, Panmure at about 4.40p.m. today.

The victim was walking through the car park when an occupant of a vehicle grabbed the victim's handbag.

The victim was dragged some distance by the car as the occupant attempted to wrestle the handbag from the victim.

She was subsequently taken to an Accident and Emergency Centre for examination of her injuries and treatment.

The Auckland Central CIB and are investigating. Detective Sergeant Mark Cullimore is particularly interested to hear from any person who witnessed the incident or may be able to assist the identities of any person involved in the matter.
