AUCKLAND

Police are investigating the death of a 24 year old male who collapsed on Thursday 5 February on Hobson Street and subsequently died at hospital. Unexplained facial injuries were apparent. The dead man has been named as Edward Hinchcliff.

Police are appealing to members of the public to come forward with any information which may help to locate a white Mazda Familia Stationwagon registration CSS949. The vehicle had been in possession of the deceased and has not been located to date.

Police are also trying to establish the movements of Mr Hinchcliff prior to his arrival at Sky City at 2pm Thursday 5 February. Members of the public who may have sighted Mr Hinchcliff are urged to contact the police.

Mr Hinchcliff, a 190cm caucasian of slight build was wearing blue jeans and a basket ball style white singlet.
