Serious truck crash north of Kaikoura

5.40am - Emergency services are attending a crash site north of Kaikoura where a truck and trailer unit has crashed off the road.
The only occupant of the truck is in a serious condition and currently receiving medical treatment.
Traffic delays can be expected on SHW1 in the area.
