Chemical tanker crash in Redoubt Rd

2.40pm - A tanker believed to be carrying amonia nitrate has struck a light standard on the Redoubt Road overbridge.
There are no reported injuries at this time.

Fire are in attendance and road blocks with diversions have been established to divert traffic from the scene.

North and Westbound traffic flowing from the Eastern side of the motorway will be diverted down Diorella drive.

Southbound traffic will be able to exit onto the southern motorway.

Eastbound traffic from Manukau/Wiri will need to cross the motorway at an overpass either north or south of Redoubt Rd. Diversions are expected to be in place for some time to allow fire to address any risk to public with regards to the chemical.
