Media update re Waiau Homicide in Canterbury

The body located at Waiau on the morning of 16 February 2008 has been identified as Joanne Thompson aged 46 of Waiau.
A post-mortem has been completed on the body of Miss Thompson. This has confirmed she suffered a prolonged and violent assault.
Police are still looking for Ross Simon Fraser aged 43 years and would request any sightings of him to be reported immediately to Police.
Fraser is aged 43 years and described as a Male Caucasian, 170 cm, thin build, shoulder length scruffy hair. He is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
