Road Conditions in Wellington

A message to all motorists, Please take care when driving on the roads around the Wellington area, It is currently raining very heavily hence motorists will need to keep their speed down, watch their following distances and allow more time for their travel plans.
There are reports of minor surface flooding on some roads.
Police are currently attending a crash at the bottom of Ngauranga Gorge on the State Highway 1, Centennial Highway. One South bound lane is currently blocked.
Please take extreme care in this area
