Marine Training Exercise Wellington Harbour

Police advise that Wellington Coastguard will be carrying out a practical Marine flare training exercise for their personnel on Saturday 21 February 2009 at Aotea Quay/Wellington Harbour. Up to 100 flares and red rockets will be discharged.

This is scheduled to commence at 9pm and be completed by 0940pm. Approximately 20 flares will be activated simulataneously to signal the beginning of this exercise.
