Coastguard Exercise in Wellington District, 1:45pm 21 Feb 2009

Police advise that Wellington Coastguard will be carrying out a practical Marine flare training exercise for their personnel on Saturday 21 February 2009 at Aotea Quay/Wellington Harbour.

Up to 100 flares and red rockets will be discharged.
 

This is scheduled to commence at 9pm and be completed by 9.40pm.

 

Approximately 20 flares will be activated simultaneously to signal the beginning of this exercise.
