Fatal crash in Waipu, road closed

Police and Emergency services are presently at the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash on State Highway 1 Waipu.
The crash has occurred on the section of State Highway 1 known as the Waipu Bypass.
This area of highway will be closed for the next few hours. Motorists travelling north and south are asked to use the diversions that are in place of - The Braigh into Shoemaker Road and into Nova Scotia Drive.
