Glider crash in Southland

At about 2pm on 27/2/09 a glider plane operating near Omarama has crashed on Mount St Cuthbert.
It is believed that two persons were on board.
Police have flown to the scene along with a doctor and are currently onsite.
The condition of the persons on board is unknown at this time.
No information is yet available as to whether it was a private or chartered flight.
