Police are asking for the assistance of the public to help locate a missing 50 year old male. Mr Donald WHEATLEY is currently a resident at a respite house in the Franklin area. Mr WHEATLEY has the metal ability of 10 year old child and becomes anxious very easily. He is currently required to receive medication.
At approximately 12.00pm Saturday 28th February Mr WHEATLEY was see leaving his respite address. Through out the day and up until 7pm, Mr WHEATLEY was seen in the Hunua area but he was unable to be located.
Due to the weather conditions in the area overnight Police hold concerns for Mr Wheatley's safety. A Police search and rescue team has completed an extensive search of the areas Mr WHEATLEY was last sighted but have been unable to locate him. A revised search will begin again during daylight hours.
Mr WHEATLEY is a described as being a male Caucasian approximately 5'6. Bald head and has no teeth.
Mr WHEATLEY was last seen wearing:
„Í green track pants,
„Í cream coloured jumper,
„Í black shoes
„Í a long dirty blond/golden coloured wig
Members of the public are asked to contact the Police if sightings of any persons matching Mr WHEATLEY's description are seen in the South Auckland area.
