Student arrested following stabbing

A 17 year-old international student was located and arrested by Police at a Blockhouse Bay address at about 12.45pm following the 11.40am stabbing of an Avondale College teacher during class this morning.

An associate of the alleged offender was also located at the address and is assisting Police with the investigation into the stabbing.

A scene examination of the classroom where the stabbing took place at the college is underway.
