Attempted Armed Robbery in Christchurch

At around 9 am this morning, Friday 6 March 2009, there was an attempted armed robbery at a cash exchange in Colombo Street, just north of the intersection with Gloucester Street in Christchurch.
Police are looking for a male of average build wearing a dark coloured hoodie and wearing blue jeans. He had his face covered at the time.
Any person who witnessed this robbery or who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact their nearest police station.
Christchurch CIB are investigating.
