Serious Crash in Bay of Plenty District, 12:15pm 15 Mar 2009

Police and emergency services are presently at the scene of vehicle crash on State Highway 1 Wairakei.
 

Both North bound and South bound traffic at this part of State Highway 1 is closed at this stage.
 

Diversions are in place for North bound - traffic is being diverted into Oranui Road into Tirohanga Road and back onto State Highway 1 at Aruanui.  South bound traffic can use the same route.
 

South bound traffic will be diverted Maroa Road at this stage.
