Log load lost in Northland

A logging truck has lost its full load of logs on State Highway One(SH1),on a railway crossing in the Far North.
The accident, in the vicinity of Hukerenui, is non-injury.
Police onsite at the accident scene advise that one lane only will be open for a period of time and that there will be a full road closure while heavy haulage equipment is used to remove the fallen logs as well as the truck and trailer unit.
Motorists are warned to expect long delays in the area and to delay non-essential travel.
Alternate routes are not readily available in this area and are unsealed.
It is expected that the road will be fully reopened by midday.
