New Zealand Police Alert 3:40pm 18 Mar 2009

Emergency services are currently attending a Truck V Bus Crash at SHW1 Fairfield just north of Ashburton.

A number of children have been injured in the crash and are currently receiving treatment. Hot tar from the truck has been spilt across the road.

A portion of SHW1 has been closed while the road is cleared up. Signed detours are in place.
