The Hornby Police are seeking the help of the public to identify this person seen near the new Beckenham Polcie station on the morning of an arson.

The photo shows a male leaving the alley adjacent to the new Beckenham Police station on the morning of Saturday 6 December 2008 at the time of the arson which caused 1 million dollars worth of damage and a six month delay in the construction.

The new Beckenham station has been the subject of two arson attacks. The first attack was at 4 am on Sunday 30 November 2008 when a wheelie bin on the first floor was set alight and caused major damage to the wiring and interior. This damage is estimated to be worth $500,000.

The second attack was one week later at 4.00am on Saturday the 6 December 2008, (the same morning Abdu Rahman IKHTIARI was murdered in his taxi). On this occasion two separate fires were lit on the ground floor of the station, causing major damage to the interior. This damage is estimated to be worth 1 million dollars and has set back construction by six months.

The male is probably European, average build, wearing shorts, white button up shirt and a dark zip up sweatshirt/hoody. This male hung around before walking south on Colombo Street.

Any information please to Detective Sergeant Scott ANDERSON at the Hornby Police station, phone 344 1800.
