Escapes custody in Counties Manukau District, 2:00pm 21 Mar 2009
Ollies Siaea, who managed to steer clear of custody yesterday afternoon is most likely to approach individuals who are familiar to him, says Det Inspector Jim Gallagher, Counties Manukau Police.
Siaea appeared yesterday, in Counties Manukau District Court and was remanded in custody. He managed to swap identification with another prisoner who had been granted bail.
He is a 31 yr old Samoan with family connections in South Auckland. He is 170cm tall; of solid build and has scruffy bushy black hair and goatee facial hair.
He has access to vehicles and also rides motorcycles. He is not considered to pose any danger to the wider community.
Those who may be inclined to provide assistance to Siaea are warned that such action will result in arrest for a charge which provides for 7 years imprisonment. Two arrests have been made already resulting from Police efforts to locate Saiea.
Police are today following up inquiries with people known to Siaea and would like any possible sightings to be reported to Counties Manukau CIB 09 295 0200.
