MARLBOROUGH

Police Ambulance and Fire crews were called to an address in Holdaway Street, Blenheim.
They discovered a 68 year old man trapped and unconscious under a camper van he had been carrying out maintenance on.
This vehicle was parked in the front of his property and had been supported on car jacks and axle stands.
It appears that while the man was working underneath the vehicle, the van dislodged from the supports.
Emergency services had to employ the use of air bags to raise the vehicle off him.
The man was unable to be revived at the scene.
The matter has been referred to the coroner.
