Serious Crash in Wellington District

As a result of a serious crash, car versus pedestrian, that occured on SH 2 (River Road) Upper Hutt at approximately 0035hrs this morning the southbound lanes of SH2 between Gibbons Street and Whakatiki Streets have been closed. Traffic will be diverted off the state highway at Gibbons St.
