Diving Fatality.
A middle aged man has died as a result of a diving accident off the coast of Little Barrier Island today. The man was diving with friends and family when he failed to surface as expected.
He was subsequently located and medical attention provided but died before reaching shore.
The deceased man has now been taken to Auckland hospital. The matter will be reported to the Coroner.
