Police have been receiving phonecalls from the media regarding an incident at a rotorua college.
Enquiries reveal that postings have been made on a trademe website describing a shooting at a Rotorua High school. There was no such incident involving firearms.
Shortly before 3pm, several cars had been broken into near the school and an offender ran through the school grounds. The school was requested to keep the children inside while a police dog tracked the offender.
One offender was apprehended without incident. Police wish to thank the school for their assistance
