Hostage incident in Counties Manukau District

Hostage situation
Police are currently in attendance at an address in Mangatawhiri. At about 6.15a.m. Police received information that a 25 year old female was being held against her will at an address in Paparimu Road.
The Armed Offenders Squad were mobilised and now have three males in custody and the victim has been secured uninjured.
Inquiries are now being conducted with respect to the reported incident and the liability of any party.
Road blocks established are expected to be stood down within approximately 15 minutes.
