The Royal New Zealand Air Force will be on display at the Omaka air show in Blenheim this Easter weekend.

Kiwi Blue, the RNZAF parachute display team will be trailing smoke swirls through the sky as the opening act on Friday evening with following performances on the Saturday and Sunday.

Aircrew from Number 3 Squadron will showcase their professional flying skills and manoeuvrability with Iroquois and Sioux helicopter displays as part of the show.

The Red Checkers will be on hand performing their spectacular aerial twists and turns while a Harvard from the RNZAF Historic flight will bring a touch of the classic.

Kiwi Blue parachutist Squadron Leader Darryn Pritchard says as summer draws to a close this is one of the last shows for the season:

“Omaka is one of the last shows we perform at during the first part of the year, but if you have missed the RNZAF on display we will be back next summer, showcasing the Air Force’s skills and professionalism to the public.”
