Fatal Crash in Hokitika

At 6.10pm on Monday the 13th April 2009 Hokitika Police attended a fatal road accident at Hari Hari.
Barry John MACINTYRE a 39 year old local resident was struck by a passing campervan.
Efforts by Emergency Services at the scene, which included a local doctor, stabilised Mr MACINTYRE but he later died in Greymouth Hospital as a result of his head injuries.
Police have referred the matter to the Coroner and enquiries are continuing.
