Fatal car crash in Waikato District, 2:10am 22 Apr 2009

At about 02:18hrs two cars crashed on sh16 south of Paeroa.

One person is deceased, 2 persons trapped and 2 other people are seriously injured.

Emergency services are at the scene.

Southbound traffic will be diverted onto State highway 2 north of Paeroa.

Northbound traffic will be diverted onto Paeroa-Tahuna Road and then onto state highway 2.
