Fatal Crash in Tasman District, 6:20pm 24 Apr

At 1820hrs on the 24TH OF April 2009 two cars were travelling on Atawhai Crescent in Nelson.

One car collided with the other car. Police Fire and Ambulance were called to the scene. Some of the occupants were trapped in one of the cars.

As a result of the crash a 73 year old Nelson Man died as a result of the crash.

Two other people from the crash were treated at Nelson hospital.

The name of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin have been informed.
