Traffic incident in Waitemata District, 9:00am

A vehicle has left the road and travelled over a bank on Candia Road Waitakere.

Four persons were in the vehicle including two children. At least one child has been taken to Starship Hospital with injuries believed to be moderate to serious.

Police diversions are in place at Candia and Sturges and further at Candia and Vineyard. Traffic is accordingly being rerouted to avoid this location.

Waitemata Serious Crash Unit is investigating. There are no further details available at present
