Fatal motor vehicle collison in Waitemata District, 9:50am

Police are in attendance at a fatal motor vehicle collision on Albany Hill, north of Auckland.

No further details are available at present and diversions have been established at State Highway 17 and The Avenue for north bound traffic.

Vehicles are being re routed into Hobson to Ridge, Mahoenui before returning to the Coatesville Riverhead highway on back onto SH 17.

South bound traffic is being diverted into the Coatesville Riverhead road, into O'Brien, Ridge Hobson, The Avenue before returning to SH17.

Ambulance and Serious Crash Unit are present and expect the road to be closed for some period of time.

Traffic should consider using the northern motorway if their destination allows.
