Stolen vehicle located in Wellington District, 11:00am

At about 8.10am on Sunday 3 May a vehicle was stopped by Police at an alcohol check point on Hutt Road, Lower Hutt.

This vehicle had recently been reported stolen.

Lower Hutt Police advise that chemicals and equipment consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine were located in the vehicle.

The male driver has been arrested and charged with a variety of offences in relation to the incident.
He will appear in the Lower Hutt District Court on Monday 4 May.
