Turangi autumn leaves to go

Turangi’s spectacular autumn display is now fading and the massive clean up of the leaf-drop from more than 1800 street trees is scheduled to commence this week.

The clean-up project will take around three weeks to complete and Taupo District Council requests residents be patient while the cleaners work their way from street to street.

For residents who clear their own frontages, a free entry coupon for disposal of the leaves at the Turangi Refuse Transfer Station is available from the Council Service Centre in Turangi.
