Fatal Road crash in Waitemata District, 11:30am

Orewa police are dealing with a fatal road crash.

Shortly before 11am police attended a two vehicle collision on State Highway one near to Puhoi.

One person has died as a result of injuries. A second person has been transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The road is closed and traffic is diverted further North At SH1 and Woodcocks Road, at south traffic is diverted up Kahikatea Drive on State Highway 17 just south of Silverdale Intersection with the Motorway.

Serious Crash Investigators are at the scene.
