Serious crash in Opotiki

About 5.30 am Police Communications were advised by a member of the public about a vehicle crash into a bridge at Waihau Bay, Opotiki.
A Medevac helicopter attended the scene for the driver, who is believed to be in a critical condition.
The Police Serious Crash Unit from Whakatane is on its way to the scene to investigate.
