Vehicle crash in Wellington District, 5:00am 20 May

Emergency services are in attendance at a 2 car crash at the top of the Wainuiomata hill.

This has occured on the lanes exiting Wainuiomata towards the Hutt.

A number of persons have been injured in the collision which resulted from one of the vehicles being driven over the hill road in the wrong lane.

The extent of injuries is not known at this stage.

The road heading out of Wainuiomata has been closed off until further notice as a result.
