Adverse weather in Wellington District, 2:00pm

Police are advising motorists to drive to the conditions as reports of heavy hail showers hit the Wellington region.

Police also wish to advise families heading up the Rimutukas to see the snow will be disappointed. Although snow falls have been reported, it has quickly melted.
