Police car in U-turn crash

 At approximately 10.45am this morning a marked police car was involved in a crash with another car on State Highway 6, Atawahi, Nelson.
Both vehicles were moderately damaged but neither driver appeared to be injured as a result of the crash.
'We are still speaking to a number of witnesses to the crash however preliminary enquiries indicate that both vehicles were travelling towards Nelson when the patrol car executed a U-turn in front of the following car' stated Senior Sergeant Stu Koefoed of Nelson Police.
