Spate of crashes involving black ice in the central North Island

Police advise that there have been at least seven non-injury crashes in the Rotorua, South Waikato and Taupo Districts where drivers have lost control after hitting patches of black ice.

Motorists are urged to drive to the conditions, and be especially cautious when travelling in shaded areas.
