Aggravated Robbery in Counties Manukau District, 4:00am

Counties Manukau CIB have arrested a man following a foiled attempt to rob a Papakura Petrol Station.

The man was located after he phoned police shortly after leaving the scene.

Police have seized a knife believed to have been involved in the incident.

No one was injured during the episode and police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the offence.

A 24 year old man will be appearing in the Papakura District Court this morning charged with 'Assault With Intent to Rob'.
