Bus and Car collide near Makaroa

At approximately 2:30 pm 6th June 2009 Police were advised of a collision between a car and a bus near Makarora, SH 6. The vehicles left the road of a result of the crash. The bus was carrying around 44 passengers whilst the car had two occupants. The bus was travelling towards Wanaka.
Emergency services rushed to the scene including two helicopters. Four persons were reported to be injured with minor to moderate injuries. All of the passengers were shaken
The passengers are being transported to Wanaka.
Wanaka Police are investigating the collision
