Police seek knife used in stabbing in Christchurch
Christchurch Police are appealing to people living in the Tuam Street, Nursery Road area to check the frontages of their properties or roof areas (if possible), for a knife that was used in a stabbing.
Around 10.30 pm on Saturday 6 June 2009, a 17 year old male was stabbed in the stomach, outside a Tuam Street house. The offender and his associates had been ejected from a birthday party just prior to the stabbing.
The group ran off, heading west (towards Fitzgerald Avenue) and then turned left into Nursery Road, crossing over to run through the grounds of the Phillipstown School.
The victim of this attack is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
