Aggravated robbery in Auckland City District, 3:40pm

Police are in attendance at the National Bank, 118 Queen St Auckland.

Prior to 2p.m. this afternoon a sole male offender entered the bank armed with a screwdriver. The male
presented the weapon and subsequently left with a significant amount of cash.

A short time later Police apprehended a person fitting the description within a short distance from the bank. A screwdriver and amount of cash located.

Auckland CIB are now speaking with the person.

No person was injured during the robbery.
