Arrest in Waikato District

At approximately 11 pm on 10 June 2009 Timothy Irving was apprehended by Police at an address in Kihikihi.

Timothy Irving was wanted by Police on a range of matters including a number of fraud charges, contravening a protection order and escaping Police custody.

When apprehended he resisted arrest and struck a Police Officer on the arm with an 18' wrench.

The Officer received minor bruising as a result of the assault.

Timothy Irving will be appearing in the Hamilton District Court on 11 June 2009 and will be facing new charges of resisting police, possession of an offensive weapon and aggravated assault.
