Road Flooding Northland

Rain has caused heavy flooding on State Highway 14 in the vicinity of the intersection with Whatitiri Road, Maungatapere.

Police are currently in attendance and advise that the road will become impassable within minutes.

There are further reports of flooding on Mangakahia Road near Draffin Road, Poroti.

Transit have been advised.

Motorists are advised to avoid these locations as closures will be effected if rain continues to fall and water levels rise.
