Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash in Northland District, 12:00pm 12 Jun

At approximately noon on Friday the 12th June 2009 an 82 year old female died in a motor vehicle crash on SH12, 5 km south of Dargaville.

Her north bound vehicle collided with a south bound truck and trailer unit.

State Highway 12 was closed for 6 1/2 hours to enable emergency services to recover the vehicles.

Two cranes were brought over from Whangarei to assist with the recovery.

Police enquiries are continuing into this crash and appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the Dargaville Police.
